Cooperative Extension & Statewide IPM Program
About me
My name is Jhalendra Rijal, an entomologist and creator of the IPM Corner educational blog. I have a strong background in the field and lab-based entomological/pest management studies. Mainly, I am interested in working on several aspects of entomological studies, including pest monitoring, abundance and distribution, development of reliable distribution-based sampling plans, insect behavior and chemical ecology, and ultimately implications of these ecological principles to integrated pest management (IPM) to attain a sustainable production system for crops. Extending the information is the other major component of my program. I always enjoy working with growers, pest control advisers (PCA), farm advisors, and campus-based specialists to find reasonable solutions for insect pests and other related problems.
